time capsule was for me kinda peak mac. Basically the last macbook pro with a dvi-I slot was the last thing I liked with mac and I was a fan boy from the mid aughts through to the end of the aughts. Yeah I have over 25 years and I also have had the assesment stuff although not to often and not every time. Basically I went into tech because it was a field where they wanted people and if you were sharp you could get a job. They don’t seem to have the demand they used to but I don’t see another place to pivot and honestly I don’t think I can change careers the way I did over 25 years ago.

This is off topic but sometimes I am sorta annoid that the standard for a doot is lock in door and hole in wall. I feel if the setup had the lock in the wall then it could be wired into the electric and you would not need batteries or such for an electric one. Maybe a recharchable one so it would work for awhile in a power outage.

So there seems to be people who want the fediverse to grow a lot and surpass corpo social media and become the dominant thing. I get that. For myself I experience the time when the internet was all command line and most of the users were in universities or army bases. Home users were more likely to be on prodigy than aol. One thing I like about the fediverse is its niche community of gnu/libre type folks. The other is the control I have to block domains, instances, community, and users. so if it becomes dominant I can still keep it the way I want it. Anyway I don’t think many fediverse folks are especially concerned about it growing and some like myself and a little more negative about it. Not really negative but I think ambivalent is the best word for it.

Finally an article that actually goes through anticometitive behavior. Its europe so I get it. If it was the us I would be a bit miffed since its long standing behaviour amazon and walmart has been doing so they should go after them first rather than this niche thing. I am of course assuming europe either does not have amazone and walmart or has already restricted them from insisting suppliers give them the lowerst or equal to pricing on their platform.

I still throw the news on tv and use my laptop while at home. Main thing is interact with people when you have the opportunity and your family is around a lot. Moderation though. yeah im on the last leg before retirement and sitting on the side of the road because cognition apparently is not much wanted right now and will likely be in the group of eledery you mention when the time comes. Honestly from what I have seen I much rather have a nice pill to put me to sleep than go through a certain amount of cognitive decline combined with physical decline.
