I mean this is the problem with Twitter style media in general. You have to just like the people and everything they say. Which tends to lead to just trying to make clever quotes which don’t really give much in terms of content.

About time.

But if they label them the jig is up.

What happens when they realize it’s all bots?

I definitely don’t remember any sort of golden era of mac gaming like that. I remember them announcing some games along with their Metal API’s and that was about the end of that .

It’s simple, Apple has never cared about gaming except for that 1 year you are talking about. They’ve done fuck all to get developers to target mac and it shows.

Beating Mac in gaming is like beating Glass Joe in Punch Out!!

I experimented with a humidity sensor in the shower and was surprised how quickly it spiked. It’s how I woud do it. Other option would be a leak sensor in the basin but getting it to turn off at the right time would be very hard. You have a lot more control over this with a humidity sensor.
I’m using zwave for everything like this and wouldn’t be at all concerned about battery for either scenario. Both would last years, much like my door and window sensors do.

Wow they haven’t even made it good enough for me to use yet and they are already enshittifying it?

Even the narrow specialist subreddits I’m on tend to decay almost exclusively to

Unfortunately not yet, at least last I checked. That and some missing Voyager features for piefed are what’s keeping me from using it as my primary account.

I use Alexandrite and Voyager and lemmus.org and find the UI and experience to be superior than at any point in my 15 years at Reddit, so I have to question what’s going on for you to make it that way.

I’m not gatekeeping, I’m just suggesting maybe not to actively recruit them. I think the good ones will make their way here without a bunch of begging and pleading and convincing. And maybe the rest just aren’t really worth having.
This was the same thing that made me choose Reddit over Digg back in the day, and I never liked it as much after the Digg migration.

I don’t know, I’m not sure that people who find Reddit in it’s current form to still be a useful/enjoyable experience are people I want to share a community with.

Sometimes I wonder if they haven’t moved over by now, do we really want them? The users I see at Reddit these days are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Yes, total ragebait. Thanks for linking to the actual source xit.

Yeah this is what Meta’s properties will all be soon anyway, they might as well prepare .
Still better than OpenAI, Google, and Facebook
Yeah Ive never really been able to make a Twitter style feed work for me. I get the impression that Twitter is mostly just about everyone trying to be the cool kid that gets noticed, but actual discussion and content doesn’t really happen much. Most people are too busy posting to read anything anyone else posts.
