This show was way more fun than Nye’s. I always remember when he put a wooden ruler half hanging off a table, put a newspaper sheet over the half on the table, then swung a hammer at the hanging off half. It broke cleanly off. It was the force distributed over the big area of the paper that was enough to hold it down against the hammer hit.
I felt like I could always tell what season the reruns were from by which female co-host was on. That Alanna Ubach was my favorite - she matched up with Beakman’s zaniness. She was in 1993’s Airborne, too. Good role there as female lead’s sidekick that ends up with male lead’s sidekick.
