So when I upload an image on certain sites the Image “uploads” but it comes out as a solid or staticy colours & looks nothing like what I uploaded.
this really became a problem when I made some new PFPs for my Online Accounts, Glomble & Here took them fine but WAFRN & Bluesky who took the previous images fine just showed the weird stuff even though when they allowed be to crop the image it looked perfectly fine, any advice?
- What’s a PFP?
- What format are you uploading them in?
- What app are they generated with?
- Do they also look corrupted on other devices you may have handy?
1: PFP in this context means Profile Picture 2: I’ve tried .png .jpeg & .webp 3: I used Krita to make the image 4: I don’t have anything else I could use
Are you just SAVING as these file extensions, or EXPORTING as each type of file extensions.
Not the difference, and see in the File menu that you need to use the EXPORT function to change actual file type.
This issue has been solved already (it was because WebGL was disabled), but I did go through the time re-exporting the image in the different file types.
Are you using a vpn or Tor by any chance? I get that exact “image” when I upload through Tor

You most likely need to enable Canvas support on that site for the upload. It’s a little picture icon right to the left of the URL bar. I would recommend reading the docs above.
