Tuta (Germany) and Murena Workspace are good mail providers. Murena (France) apart is an excelent all in one substitute for GDrive and other Google services. They also sell Fairphone with own OS (eOS)

Fastmail 👍 Well worth the bucks imo. Super well thought out UI, private, and they work towards jmap over imap.
Fastmail here too, including running email addresses for kids and parents. Love the UI, easy to use.

Me too. I have my own domain name too that I use for custom email accounts which I then set up with Mailbox.
Huh, surprised nobody has mentioned Tuta Mail yet. Cheap monthly and annual plans, hosted Ex-US.
Plus I have a domain, forwarded through my tutamail account, so I have unlimited email receiving addresses, at-will. :)
No fascism, no privacy violations. I’m abbiyed they don’t support external clients and the mail rules are fairly limiting, but for my purposes it’s well worththe costs.
Built in calendar also can import ICS files and it has effectively replaced Gcal for my own personal private use.
Infinite aliases are great. I have an address for every company, and that keeps my inbox very clean and tidy. If one of them turns out to sell my address to spammers, I will know exactly who to blame. It’s also trivial to set up a rule for deleting everything that is sent to that address.
I use proton myself. I dont know about private browsers but it works with Thunderbird via its own decryption app Proton Bridge. Thats a good privacy solution (assuming its a secure desktop), and gives you a local backup of your email.
Currently I don’t use a privacy-focused mail provider because all of them suck in a way that demotivates me to put in the time and money to migrate and it’s an insecure protocol anyways. But for privacy-focused email providers Proton seems like the least shitty option right now.
I run my email out of my closet. Postfix/Dovecot, using Mutt as my client.
I use (and created) Port87. Its goal is to reduce spam, but the way it works has a byproduct of being inherently rather private. You give out a different address to each place.
It is not end-to-end encrypted, so if that’s a deal breaker for you, I’m afraid it won’t work. That might be in the extended roadmap, but there are a lot of other features I need to build first (IMAP, CardDAV, mailing lists, and a better composition experience are my top priorities right now).
I use Proton but working on moving away due to increasingly relentless advertising practices.
As far as emails go you should be fine as long is it isn’t Google/apple/someone actively harvesting your information. The main problem is that even if you have encryption, most of the people you email probably don’t, for this reason I think it’s more important to setup an alias service (I use Addy.Io).
I’ve used most private browsers.
Never had a problem with Proton not working.It doesn’t use webgl, so that’s not an issue. No idea what else you’re blocking that could be a problem.
