STEP 1: Open Mozilla Firefox and type about:config in the address bar and press Enter. It’ll show you a warning message, click on “Accept the Risk and Continue” button. It’ll open the config page
STEP 2: Now type fxaccounts inside the preference search box and look for following preference: identity.fxaccounts.enabled
STEP 3: This preference decides the availability of Firefox Account/Sync feature inside the web browser. To disable or remove the Firefox Account feature, set the identity.fxaccounts.enabled preference to False.
To change the preference value, just double-click on the preference and it’ll change its value.
STEP 4: Restart Firefox
Unnecessary nonsense like this is why I use LibreWolf on desktop and IronFox on mobile.
Why is Firefox so annoying… everything popping out and hard to remove for the newer users…
Ads, VPN, Accounts, AI… Could it not ask me first instead of opting in on this everything…
This is why we have forks.

It wouldn’t be such a huge insult if the company wasn’t positioning itself as the Only Ethical Alternative, while providing this interface that nearly makes Microsoft Edge look refined by comparison
Because its still run by Mozilla who is run by a bunch of ex google execs.

Nice!!! An alternative is to self-host a sync server and point the browser to your domain address instead, but that’s way more effort
