    Why didn’t we do his from the beginning instead of the blackout then? Seems way easier than keeping all of these subs private indefinitely.

      Probably because people were trying to negotiate in good faith, and not destroy the site. I guess they believed they could deal with the management.

        This is it. Companies make bad decisions all the time, but they can sometimes be shown why their decision is a bad one, and reverse course. All the interviews with Spez the last two weeks show that he may actually be a sociopath. He doesn’t see the people who provide all the value to Reddit as actual people, and won’t listen to their concerns at all.
