    Apparently a “troon” is a possible slur for a non-passing trans person. Can also be used for a “fake” trans person.

    Somebody correct me if I am wrong, I had to look that up.

      Yeah it’s a special kind of slur in that it was developed after hating the target group stopped being socially acceptable and it hasn’t really breached containment so it not only says you’re a bigot, but that you’re like actually invested in your bigotry and spend time in spaces specifically dedicated to hating on trans people.

          My guess is it’s a case of a so-called “passing” trans person hating a “non-passing” one. Possibly because it reminds them of the time before their transition, or they view “non-passing” people as not really trans, or they’re selfish and don’t want to have to change the way they think of their parent? I’m not trans, so this is just speculation.

    I wish we had an expression (that I could think of) with the opposite connotations of “turnabout is fair play”
