My guess is it’s a case of a so-called “passing” trans person hating a “non-passing” one. Possibly because it reminds them of the time before their transition, or they view “non-passing” people as not really trans, or they’re selfish and don’t want to have to change the way they think of their parent? I’m not trans, so this is just speculation.
I don’t understand - doesn’t OP say his GF is trans? Why would they hate on dad going trans?
