Atari have announced the Atari 2600+ will release in the USA in November for $129.99. International availability will be announced soon.
The console is a recreation of the original Atari 2600 but at 80% of the size of the original and will be compatible with all 2600 and 7800 cartridges.
The console also includes a new wired joystick designed to look and feel just like the original.
For connecting to modern TV the 2600+ sports a HDMI port with widescreen support.
The console will come with a 10-in-one cartridge containing

Combat
Dodge 'Em
Haunted House
Maze Craze
Missile Command
RealSports
Volleyball, Surround
Video Pinball
Yars' Revenge
Powering the console is a Rockchip 3128 SOC with 256MB DDR3 RAM and 256MB eMMC storage.

This isn’t the selling point they think it is. I mean I get people will pay lots of money for nostalgia, but joysticks back then used the Atari stick as a baseline that they were above.
People usually sat a lot closer to their TVs back then too. Having a wired controller wasn’t a big deal (wireless options not being available aside).
Even if I wanted this, the wired controllers are a deal breaker for me.
