I’ve been using sync for Reddit since like 2016. I’m happy to hear you are working on a version for Lemmy. Thanks for your hard work!
I’ve used Sync for Reddit for a few years, so I’m really looking forward to it as well. I feel like I’ve tried about every Lemmy app that’s currently out there, some are okay, but I think I’m just too spoiled from using Sync for Reddit.
Connect for lemmy scraches that itch in wait for sync for lemmy. Give it a try.
Connect was rough when I first checked it out last week, but it’s insane how quickly it’s improving. I might even go as far as to say I prefer how it looks over Sync.
@ljdawson@lemmy.world better get a move on, before these upstarts eat away at his audience 😀
Thanks for the suggestion. Actually I do have Connect for Lemmy installed on my phone, as well as Jerboa, Liftoff, and Thunder. I mostly have been using Jerboa v.34 (downloaded from GitHub), since the current version is only compatible with Lemmy v.18. I may try giving Connect more of a chance though, since Jerboa gave me a “timeout” error, when I clicked the submit button on this comment. I am now having to retype it again, now on Connect for Lemmy.
Fun fact. My connect for lemmy only alerted me on your comment today. Yeah we are early. 😅
sync for reddit is/was great. sync for lemmy can be great too, but the communities and content on lemmy need to grow substantially imho for sync on lemmy to be viable.
and i do hope that it does become viable.
You’re about to get a large influx of former Redditors… Like me!
