    This is a very optimistic view. I hope things work out the way he describes, but from what I have seen of American businesses, they will probably hire less people with only a few technical leader types overseeing the AI.

    Even the happy scenario sounds pretty bleak, where people in skilled positions are replaced by existing workers who are supported by AI to take on additional work that used to be done by more skilled workers.

    Thus you end up with a race to the bottom as workers become easily replaceable cogs that are just baby-sitting the AI tools that are doing the hard work.

    Thanks for posting this, people really like focusing on the pessimistic doom scenarios and this is a plausible counterpoint to that.
