A whole back when I got a Miyoo Mini, I went looking for original GB games that I missed. I found Cave Noire and it quickly became my favorite ways to kill time. It's simple (but not easy), being a Roguelike offers some variety, and it's just fun.
The strengths/weaknesses are ingrained in my brain from studying that manual. I thought it was common knowledge.
I think of them as “example given” and “in essence” which is close enough to remind me which to use.
I have a RG35XX and a RG353M. I feel guilty about it, but I typically prefer playing on the XX and have to force myself to use the M sometimes. The XX is a great device even if it lacks some power.
I worked in a cemetery cutting grass as a teen. Helping out digging a grave one day and the backhoe knicked a neighboring vault. Just a tiny chip smaller than a dime. But suddenly the air over the entire area just filled with the stench of decomposed human remains. It was vile.
Even so, I sure do miss the simplicity of that job sometimes.
Unexpected Rumford.
I guess all I HAVE to do still is get through the Black Omen. I was trying to knock out all the side quests, but it got to that point where it was more a chore than fun. Haven’t touched the game in weeks. Maybe I’ll wrap it up this weekend.
