Just an anonymous llama 🦙🦙🦙
I think the end conclusion wasn’t great. He said
It wouldn’t matter if it dropped 20 degrees
It absolutely would matter. Just like how a 4090 costs an absurdly high amount but people will still buy it. For the right person getting 20 degrees knocked off might be worthwhile regardless of how expensive it is.
The critiques that Steve laid out in this video were perfectly fine, highlighting the shortcomings of LMG when it comes to actually reviewing content (which is what they’re pivoting to, away from 100% entertainment content). A typical Linus arrogant take where he’ll learn nothing.
Great to see baulders gate 3 doing well. A perfect storm of development conditions and we get rewarded at the end of it with a fantastic game. Hopefully heaps of extra extra content down the track to keep it going
So it creating an exe and hiding it from the task manager is fairly normal then? From the screenshots another bloke pasted on here, that looks pretty suspicious
Cheers for the screenshot mate.
I’d be keen to give it a go if it were legitimately anyone else besides Facebook. Would have even tried it if Microsoft made a random Twitter clone
I’ve found it’s worked really well. One annoying part is if you use Google search, the top 4/5 results which usually are ads (but eventually redirect to the correct page you want) become inaccessible, as Adguard interrupts it
The overall sentiment about the lack of comments feels pretty fair. One of the best parts of Reddit was the volume. While you don’t really need to have 3000 comments on a post to make it feel engaging, having 300 I feel is better than the 5 or 6 I’ve often seen.
It’s still an early platform so I’m hoping with time we get dozens of replies on most posts
The Kbin enchantment sweet is great. The developer who worked on it is actively in the Matrix chat. We’re working on getting a heap of those improvements baked into the platform, but being an open source protect it takes a while to get things through
A drop in the bucket for these blokes sadly. Fines this small don’t encourage change, they’re just the price for doing business
Ooo I like these ones, they remind me of sync without being a direct copy. Really nice concepts
People’s willingness to seize every opportunity and monetize everything that was once free and open is truly shocking. Every day when I read about another dogshit attempt to make the internet as a whole a worse place, I’m not even supprised anymore
Also talking about GIMP, plenty of people have said “there’s heaps of Photoshop alternatives” yet legit everything on Ubuntu I’ve has been buggy AF and feature poor. Like I get that FOSS software is hit and miss but this has been really rough
Was pretty supprised to find out that you now need to log in to an account to even do a basic TeamViewer session. It legit feels like every time I’m forced to used it to help out old people the UI is getting more bloated
Great as a huge reverse camera too. That’s super handy
Driven a few Mazda 3’s and the wheel / button placement is great. Lots of things within fingers reach. One thing I’m not keen on is the sports mode button, that should totally be on the steering wheel, where right now it’s on the middle dashboard.
I guess the idea is you want people to think about switching this mode on/off so it disincentives them doing it all the time maybe?
Not keen on cars with an over reliance on central displays for everything. Having a single unit controlling so many things that could easily be switches, dials or other things feels pretty dangerous.
Everything you need should be within hands reach, or easily adjustable without having to fiddle through displays
I’ve got inside knowledge of where this valuable feedback is going, try and keep it private tho

Game preservation is something that’s already actively biting us in the ass. Apparently the percentage of games that have been saved is on par with early silent motion pictures.
Even if we ensure all the critically acclaimed games are preserved, there’s still heaps that are just going to vanish over time and that sucks for everyone.
I’m liking the giant A and B button.
