I have to ask… on KDE wayland, how do you set it to dedicated mode ?

No, I have also found that my processes run faster on Linux than on Windows. I don’t know what is armoury crate but from the way you’re talking about it it manages CPU modes.

Whatever you do in Windows, you can in Linux (almost). But it is sometimes harder, sometimes simpler.

It’s very good - in some cases better than Windows. I have a MSI gaming laptop. The battery lifedin longer on linux compared to Windows.

With custom scripts you can control fan speed. However… I have a intel/nVidia card on KDE with wayland and it is hell. Nothing works as expected, so I can’t tell about gaming in itself.

For other tasks, it works really well.

You might want to try an arch-based distro rather than Arch itself. Arch has been low maintenance for me, but it was long to set-up.

I like it that way but some don’t.

But if you intend to use KDE with wayland, good luck. It’s quite stable but still not there. It might have made me lose some hair over things that weren’t working as expected - whereas on GNOME it was all smooth.

If you really want a “full” browser experience, there was konqueror a few years back. I don’t know how reliable it is these days.

If you wish for a ‘minimal’ and lightweight but functional browser experience you can try midori.

Piracy could also mean “buy shit for way less”. Instead of a 200$ key you can have it for 2-5$. It kinda fits.

Plus you can have it free but it’ll be a hassle or very low price and it won’t be a hassle. The choice is his.

Buy a key from a chinese retailer. 5€ for a fully functional windows.

If you don’t want to, there are KMS tools but they work for a time then they don’t anymore.

I use mailspring. Looks slick, it’s open source. Pretty easy to install via flatpak (and soso easy without flatpak)

VirtualBox, but don’t go for Ubuntu, rather go for Zorin. It’s way more user friendly :)
