Wow that… Stings a little
Some of us still think Yugoslavia is on the map somewhere! I can’t find it! Where is it?!
I know it’s not “apples to apples” but swapping giant forktruck batteries (I assume they were lead-acid) has been done for decades too. I think we did it at Sam’s Club, at least for when the batteries wouldn’t charge.
so it is! and I tested it, of course, with alt-sys-b which instantly rebooted my machine. nice.
ok… I’ll ask… where the heck is the “sysreq” key on my standard keyboard?
I switched my kids’ PCs to Pop!_OS and other than “icons moving” yeah they didn’t notice.
Especially when they mostly use Firefox and Steam, and those are exactly the same.
Not to be that guy but I cold-turkey switched daily driver and I cannot believe I didn’t do it earlier. Total amateur “copy-paster” and the only thing I sometimes can’t get working are pirated games. Steam changed everything for gaming.
I still love that verification can reference. It was actually quite a bit ago but keeps getting more and more relevant.
I’m one of the weirdos that like ME… sure, I reformatted a few times. But i liked it!
like when the collective world went outside at the same time when Pokemon Go launched. Our quiet downtown area was amazing to walk through. all those people.
that’s how i’ve been writing since about college, I think. My printed handwriting I mean - I so large/small caps only. It’s so much easier to read. but also my handwriting sucks.
I’m you!! Single searching and downloading manually worked good enough if you aren’t like trying to make a library.
The only games thus far that I couldn’t get to work were pirated. Id say 80%+ pirated work, and so far all legit games. Even weird launchers like FF14 (stock, not the 3rd party) and Guild Wars 2. And then of course Steam does most the work.
Everyone’s mileage varies, obvs, plus there’s different distros and games.
How do YOU edge?
I prefer and default to fitgirl, but I’ll admit that sometimes the long unpack time doesn’t seem worth the sometimes only 1-5gb file size difference.
yeah, other than the obvious “haha-ing in Linux” (which… I also use Linux) - the REAL answer is people will just keep using the outdated Windows until THAT computer dies it’s natural death.
Not only do I hope this is real - to me this is what twitter should be about. just witty/shitty… shwitty? comments. like when facebook used to actually be seeing your friends pages, and not endless scrolling of 85% ads.
Ugh now even my Pi needs clothes??!? Ridiculous.
It’s not bad, it’s certainly enjoyable.
My take: the original is the real story. The Netflix is a summary. They skip a lot, but it’s only 8 episodes. The things they skip, I just remember “still happened”. The things they merged/combined are just part of the summary.
You are able to like the Netflix, as long as you know it’s not a replacement. Just enjoy the retelling, and seeing Uncle iroh as a real person!
I was really hoping someone else said it already, but… is this really “Technology news”? It’s about a billionaire and advertising on his social media website.
