“Number 5 and Number 7 ate Number 3 last night.”
“Number 5 and Number 7 ate Number 3 last night.”
I had the discussion the other day of how civilization would be different if humans followed the ‘have loads of babies at once and see which ones survive’ style of reproduction.
“Oh hi Sarah! How’re the kids?”
“Oh, little Jeremy wasn’t eating as much as the others so I threw him outside onto the road.”
It’s so we can make silly AI songs to send to each other :)
Sorry, Big Cheese now owns your colon.
Anything that makes it distinct gives a blocking opportunity, I assume?
I was introduced to Linux with Vim so it’s actually Nano that confuses me…
Looking forward to the Kevin Fang video covering this in a few years.
The cloud is over-engineered and over-priced for personal projects and small groups. If you’re a larger company and want high-availability and speed globally, then you’re probably wanting a cloud provider nowadays unless you’re really wanting to manage hardware yourself.
Setting up your own website for fun or something for your local business obviously doesn’t need a fancy Kubernetes setup in EKS. Hell, even a moderate business could be fine if you’re not expecting usage spikes or latency issues (although you’d probably want more than a repurposed desktop).
I’m putting forward the ‘Stop Putting Puppies in Blenders’ bill, which states that everyone needs to give me their PlayStations.
I’ve reached a cynical point where anytime I see ‘protection of youth’ as a reason for something, I instantly assume an ulterior motive. I should want kids to be protected, but I’ve been conditioned to assume the worst whenever they’re brought up.
Plug the random USB stick I found on the floor into a work computer :)
Cool I’ll be able to download CoD in just a few hours.

I’ve tested Cyberpunk on it, but I’m not sure what other GOG purchases can be streamed. A lot of publishers can’t be bothered to support more than just their Steam versions sadly.
So it’s working as expected? /s
Recently got Canadian citizenship and it seems to be the case there also.
Let’s make different, more disastrous mistakes!
Huh, I always just assumed it was a regional thing.
I’m half way through The Dark Forest and while I’m really enjoying it, it’s certainly not because of the character writing. Could just be a translation issue but a native speaker would have to chime in on that. I’m still enjoying going through the trilogy though just for the concepts alone.
When I first started my job, a coworker set me up with a machine running NixOS. I gave it a year before I binned it for Ubuntu. I just… didn’t see the point? The troubleshooting wasted so much of my time for seemingly no benefit.
