Yes. SD cards are particularly prone to corruption with a fluctuating power supply.
Also the transfer speed is much higher on the USB bus. And the access time lower.
Doc D’s prescription: Two memes, one shitpost and don’t call me in the morning.

After I cut ties with Mozilla due to their continued insulting disregard for the user response, I consider this good news.
Mozilla continues, at an ever escalating pace, to drive people away. But they’re not crushing their idealism and will to create something beautiful. I expect the demize of Mozilla will give room for other, smaller projects to grow. Like web browsers, seeing how everything else is being perverted into agentic slop machines.

Nice to see they’ve added an already existing feature. But everything is as expected, even though FF have had profiles for an eternity it’s time to copy Chrome. New feature!
The only thing FF is good for nowadays is to disappoint those who thought they wouldn’t be disappointed anymore after switching away from FF.

Beyond always back up everything, Pi’s and SD cards have always been a bummer. Even booting from an old memory stick is faster and more reliable.
Pi’s have supported foregoing the SD card and booting from USB since forever. I run a file server on a Pi5 with a USB SSD disk as main drive, never had any issues. Even bad blocks from wear are compensated for through the SSD’s built in system.

Having no call audio on FP5 is a dealbreaker to me, but if it’s only 4g/5g calls and BT audio and mic works I’ll gladly use IP comms only. Need to dive a bit deeper I suppose, and the incentive will come from Google.

Capitalism.
I would think most non technical users would just use a different browser.
Not only them. I’m tired boss.

Oh lawdy, what’s a executation unit in a GPU?! 🧓

I’m old and dusty, some of you young uns tell me what the EUs in the IGPU is.
Anybody interested in the differences between GS Connect and KDE Connect would care, you absolute imbecile. You doubt that pretty is high on the requirements? Whose requirements? OP or the OTHER person I replied to? Are you too dense and outright STUPID to understand context? Reply-to?
Do you enter a comment section and think every single effing reply is to the OP? Are you sitting there right now, questioning yourself if this very comment is directed at OP as a reply to his search for alternatives or maybe, just maybe it’s directed at the person I replied to?
GS Connect hooks into the official GNOME extension API’s and looks very nice and integrated. AFAIK it’s a GNOME-exclusive extension. KDE Connect looks ugly in comparison, not to mention how ugly KDE Connect looks without any comparison.
Disregarding other humans in general, with some exceptions.
Life. Seems impossible to improve so I’m content with working towards not making it worse. I’m not very successful so far.

In the vast majority of cases, certainly not. Anybody putting up any sort of threat will be… Policed. Anybody pretending they didn’t just lose everything - by design - will be policed. There’s a chance some people will be retroactively policed for making posts like this.

Oh dang I didn’t know

I like Iceraven.

What? I get de-censored cosmic horror RP LLM’s telling me I’m off the deep end.
Easiest level is using an online video downloader, search for a website that can download from the preferred video provider, paste the URL in the downloader page and download directly through the browser.
