I think macOS is more like quality garbage. There’s actual development happening there. It’s still garbage, but you know. It’s garbage that stray cats would eat

Wrt icons and padding, I think the ideal tweak here would be to increase slightly font size/weight so that it’s “on par” with the +/-, and/or rework the icon glyphs specifically so that they’re less bold. Right now they catch attention way more than the value itself, it should probably be the other way around.

That being said I am using a 150% interface scaling on Windows so not sure how it affects GTK, it might look better on 100% scale, will check
