NES is one I think is on the verge of “not holding up” vs SNES/Genesis where you can just release a game for it now and it would still do well for an indie.

Proton is great but it has killed native ports.

At the same time some native ports are old enough to not work as well as proton (XCOM EU) so this might be better? Mixed feelings.

I got the grey running Amberelec and it’s very nice but I did upgrade to a retroid pocket 3+ but kinda separated the two with the RG being a 8/16 bit powerhouse and the RP3 being a PSP/NDS focus with some widescreen hacks (bsnes hd) on the side.

The RG351v would be used more if it had 5Ghz wifi, and my router can’t do both. Retroachievements are too nice.

Kenshi came to mind as that’s a butt ugly game but probably not as “hidden”. Graphics look on par with Empire Earth 1 zoomed in but it’s really unique and original and the low poly look helps it run on my aging PC so no complaints.
