  • I’m conflicted here

    On one hand, I play GTA Online, and the amount of hackers is getting out of hand. Most are chill, some are extremely annoying and blow up everyone in the lobby with 800 million explosions a second. In this case, I’m annoyed that I can’t play it and glad there’s anti cheat.

    On the other hand, I didn’t realize that BattlEye would prevent Linux users from playing entirely. I’m not a Linux user (yet) myself, but that really sucks. Also, rockstar is extremely predatory with the shark cards (it was worse with Red Dead Online!) so they do kinda deserve it as some form of karma for being terrible

    Edit: EAC -> BattlEye

    The big trap that guy made that snares the bug and hits it with 4 sticks is so unnecessary but the concept is so funny to me, especially because the pattern of stick hitting swaps every now and then

    Thwap Thwap Thwap

    “ha, yeah, got him this time”

  • As Microsoft adds ads in more places more and more, I consider moving over to Linux but I just have too many files and weird Windows only programs that I use that I can’t

    I also haven’t really found a desktop environment I really like yet, so I’m open to suggestions for dual booting!

  • Almost every time I restart my Windows PC from an update, it sits on the “closing apps screen” or “restarting” screen then gives up completely and I have to force it to shut down/restart

    And, just about every other time I restart with an update, it closes apps and then just fully shuts down after the update!

    It’s super graceful! 😭

  • I had a laptop a while back with a fingerprint scanner that would work for one day, then stop working completely. I reinstalled the drivers, and it would work for a day and then stop again. I eventually gave up using the fingerprint scanner until I “upgraded” the laptop to Windows 11, and it worked again. No idea if it still works, since I rarely use that laptop now

    You could either have the world’s worst luck, or you are genuinely cursed

    Alternatively, you keep spilling coffee on your devices and going into a blind fit of cleaning rage that blocks out the memory of the original coffee spill

  • I have the Pixel Buds Pro and they kinda do that, but yeah not very well. I have them paired to my phone and my laptop, and sometimes randomly they’ll silently disconnect from my laptop and permanently pause whatever I was watching if my phone plays a notification. I can’t fix it until I disconnect from and reconnect to my laptop multiple times.

    One time I was watching a video on my laptop and they randomly connected to my desktop! I hadn’t used them on my desktop in at least a year, until then!

    All in all, they can flow seamlessly, but it’s 60/40 on if it works properly

    At least the noise cancelling and passthrough are fun to mess with
