is there a titlegore magazine here? Because this belongs there.

I would be amazed if it sells for anywhere near 40. I bet it launches at closer to 60.
Getting close to that 2021 release at $40k purchase price?
Hmmmmm I wonder where all that heavy debt came from? Chin scratch I wonder why all the companies don’t want to advertise here anymore? NOBODY KNOWS!!!
does Doom count? Because my friends and I still play the game to this day, all the various community mods and maps.
I loved this at first but then the complexity of the various mechanics seemed to take a sharp rocket ship upwards through the roof. I got kind of lost and then tried to read the wiki guide and it was like a book, so that was that. I really wanted to like it though! Maybe I should give it another go.
I think LW is better out of the box. It has both UBO and Containers built in. Which is just awesome. I still use FF as my daily just because I have customized it beyond belief, but if I were to start over again I think I’d start with LW.
I’m not sure I understand wireless trackball. The only reason I wanted a wireless mouse was because I didn’t like the drag and the pull from the cable. That doesn’t exist with a trackball. I much prefer wired for a keyboard because similarly it doesn’t move so doesn’t require charging or batteries.
Maybe I’m naive, but I can’t imagine there’s a huge market for wireless trackballs?
It flopped, they killed it, brought it back, killed it again, relaunched a new division for software only, then killed that. That’s big brain business management right there. Pichai has been the biggest failure of a ceo I’ve seen in a very long time. It’s really incredible.
I’ve always wondered how you actually enact this on a technical level. So lets say I’m on my phone (not on wifi) in random town X near the state border in Virginia or Miss. What if the tower serving me the data is in Kentucky, or WV? Does the tower now triangulate every single device and try to ban one single website’s dns down to the geo zone? Doesn’t seem possible to me.
DING DING DING! WE HAVE A WINNER! That’s exactly what the Republicans want. They are fully well aware that they don’t represent the average educated voter’s interests. Therefore, the best way to stay in power is to perpetuate poverty, ignorance, lack of healthcare, suffering, anger, and misguided hate towards fellow neighbors. This keeps them in power.
those rings. How amazing is it that we JUST SO HAPPEN to exist in the teeny tiny time frame that they even exist? To us pitiful humans, the rings of Saturn are eternal. But in reality they are but a blink in the existence of the planet itself.
Cassini reports they are between 10 - 100 million yrs old and will be gone in another 300 million yrs. So lets average that out at 350 million years lifespan.
Saturn is 4.6 billion years old. We just happen to be around for the show.
“we were getting data pillaged” … LOL I wonder what on earth that means in his feeble mind.
I’m pretty happy with my Tumbleweed installation, and I don’t think I’ll be leaving anytime soon.
Also recommend Tumbleweed. I’ve distro hopped for many years, and currently am using Tumbleweed and have no plans of leaving soon. It really is the best I’ve ever used.
I wouldn’t recommend doing a Hyperland setup right away on first time ever using linux. Just run with KDE or Gnome for a while until you’re comfy then you can try Hyperland. The reason I say this is check this page:
https://wiki.hyprland.org/Useful-Utilities/Must-have/
“Must Have
This page documents software that is critical / very important to have running for a smooth Wayland / Hyprland experience.
DEs like KDE / Gnome will do this automatically, Hyprland will not (because you might want to use something else)
A notification daemon
Starting method: most likely manual (exec-once)
Many apps (e.g. Discord) may freeze without one running.”
So you have to do a LOT more setup and configs to get Hyperland up and running. Just use KDE lol. Tumbleweed rocks with Plasma.
Same here. I’m fine using Proton for my mail & drive, but I also like keeping my passwords separate in bitwarden, and my 2fa separate in my raivo. A healthy separation is good.
Linux has made astounding improvements to its every day usage in the past few years. There really truly are several distros now that you can install that “just work” out of the box. And with the modern DE’s, the user won’t even know much of a difference from the windows or mac interface.
Look into a seedbox. They can be had for very cheap in some places and then you’re not torrenting anything at all to your local network, you’re just transferring everything over an encrypted ftp connection. I use whatbox and absolutely love it. I’m sure there are cheaper options though.
Exactly my sentiments. Zero desire to use any form of chromium.
It’ll be hilarious in several years time when they’ve completely abandoned the entire VR multiverse concept, when they have to explain to people what their company name means.
“Well you see, our king lordship decided that we must set fire to several hundred billion dollars, there was nothing else we could do with it, so we did.”
