Thanks for the tip with the shop (shipping is reasonable and electronic components are well priced)! Cannot help with Azurefilm filament as I haven’t tried it yet.

If you’re shopping in the EU, I recommend Devil Design PLA - they’re available through a couple of shops.
sub-40 gang 👊
Neat! I’ve been looking for an CoreXY for sub 1k. Also open source and fast - very exciting! I’ll wait for the reviews to see if it holds up to the promises.
3DJake sells them from Fiberology and Formfutura. Search for “refill”
Waren wohl länger nicht beim Friseur, da musste mal ein Update her…
I have been eyeing on the Sovol SV04 it’s a IDEX machine. It looks like a solid choice with good reviews.
Nice. That gave me compiz flashbacks
Your numbers are convincing, you must tell the truth
I felt the same way. Based on this alternatives suggestions post, I installed Aves and it looks quite promising.
Thanks for saving my time.
Have you tried Piped? It can be self hosted, but there are also public instances. Features also include Playlists and Feed, probably also History. Maybe you need to create an account for that. Never tried that, because I use it through the Android App LibreTube which also has these features without account.
Ähem Streusand bitteschön
Nice build! Make sure you also post it on !mechanicalkeyboards@lemmy.ml
Also glad there are discussions about this. Somehow Lemmy and the Fediverse seem more privacy friendly but it’s just as public as anything on the web - which makes sense, since communities, posts and comments are public anyway. So I’m not sure how it could be more private with the currently design.
There are however protocols that can provide the foundation for more privacy friendly and decentralized applications like Web5 and Solid.
Looks great! I’m definitely interested in the PCB series - which software did you use? Would be nice to see how the open source way looks instead of say Fusion360. I know it’s free for open source projects but it’s not free.
Agreed, in the text the original article is linked where Cory Doctorow coined the term enshittification - I enjoyed reading that article.
I think https://github.com/KMKfw/kmk_firmware might be what you are looking for: It exposes itself as flash drive in bootloader-mode and the files on there are just regular Python scripts. If you search for “KMK macro pad”, you’ll find a bunch of projects - most of them diy. If you want to start from scratch, Jan Lunge created an awesome tool for setup and keymap adjustments (video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtYJYFMWjNM, repo https://github.com/JanLunge/pog) - with the idea being that after setup you do not need the tool anymore to adjust the keymap.
