I wish I could use Graphene, but the pixel’s pitifully small and expensive storage to force you into cloud storage really makes an SD card necessary. I have around 200GB on my phone + SD already(including OS), and I don’t want only 50 GB for more photos and music in the next 7 years WITH the more expensive option…

OK, assuming your switch is also smart

Option 1: long-press/double function turns on both light and fan, that triggers an “I am going to shower” 5 minute delay where a humidity sensor senses when it is over and keeps the fan on until humidity is stabilized with the rest of the house.

Option 2: get a smart flow meter instead of a smart valve. Then you have useful statistics for shower water usage in addition to an instantaneous status. This has the side effect of the mood lighting turning on “late”

Option 3: get one or make an esphome + LD2410S on battery or plugged in close by, nobody goes in the shower for more than like 10 seconds without showering

Option 4: Time of Flight sensor outside of the shower pointing in to tell when the door/curtain is closed. If the ToF sensor is (for example) between 1.1m and 1.2m, the door/curtain is closed

Spinning up and down hard drives repeatedly drastically reduces their lifespan though. Once a day or so, fine, but if you set a 30 minute idle time or something and it spins them down a dozen times per day, you are putting acceleration forces on the drive many more times than intended.

If you have to buy a new HDD twice as often because you spin it down, any financial or environmental savings is instantly negated and in the end it is much, much worse in both respects.

If you are hosting other things with it, then a reverse proxy like Caddy or Traefik + crowdsec is pretty much as good as you are going to get and you can add region blocking on your router (if that feature is available) or if you use cloudflare as a proxy.

If you want to go really crazy, you can put authelia/Authentik in front of it, depending on what else you host.

Also Falba.tech is stilll chugging along with beautiful bamboo and beech cases.

I did this a few years ago.

Maybe the best option is to create an entirely new prefix in Heroic and install battle.net via their “run installer first” button. Via Winetricks GUI you can install the 2 fonts or whatever that the lutris script installs.

Then, copy the game files of StarCraft 2 or WoW or whatever to the new prefix program files.

Then, in battle.net, it will either auto-detect the game, or you can go through the “search for games” flow in settings.

That should work, it is always better to have a fresh prefix as it takes almost no space. Once everything is copied you can simply delete the old one.

They are trying to get rid of cash here. Bancontact in the Benelux is literally trying to do away with all cash exchange.

They have paid ( I assume since it all happened within a few months across many banks)/caused hundreds of banks to simply not accept cash input anymore at their ATMs and take out their ATMs entirely and built entirely new Bancontact ATMs everywhere that don’t accept any cash input, only output.

My girlfriend (cafe owner) has to drive 20 minutes to deposit cash income.

So essentially, they are trying to force businesses to not accept cash at all anymore if they make it inconvenient enough. Then everything flows through Pepol, and everything has to be paid via Bancontact and they will have a cut of literally everyone across multiple countries’ income as profit doing nothing but bribing politicians and banks.
