Krauerking@lemy.lolto Technology@lemmy.world•Unless users take action, Android will let Gemini access third-party appsEnglish9·8 days agoI mean there were no instructions up front because literally Google is refusing to give them, basically.
No more choice just the company force feeding the user and saying it’s good for them.Nowhere in the email or any of the Support pages did Google say how to remove all Gemini integrations from my phone.
I then emailed Google PR and… I asked if someone could provide actionable guidance for my readers who want to ensure Gemini integrations are completely disabled. Instead of answering the question, the person responding to my email wrote, in part: “This update is good for users: they can now use Gemini to complete daily tasks on their mobile devices like send messages, initiate phone calls, and set timers while Gemini Apps Activity is turned off. With Gemini Apps Activity turned off, their Gemini chats are not being reviewed or used to improve our AI models.”Literally that reads like you can’t turn it off and they just scrape less of your data on a technicality.

“they are recruiting for some kind of job people who had some other job and they are paying less but those people who didn’t do that job before seem to be happy because they didnt quit right away.”
Krauerking@lemy.loltoAsklemmy@lemmy.ml•Anyone else not understand the hate for hydrogen peroxide?0·24 days agoYeah, that’s my go to for first aid. I actually Cary around saline solution though in my first aid kit for sterility and you just spray it on as needed to wash debris and particulates. People are already in enough pain don’t need to burst cell walls that survived as well.
Then it’s a out bandaging and replacing and cleaning the area as needed. I’m a big fan of the newer hydrocolloid bandages, even though you don’t heal faster it’s far more consistent and the whole surface being sticky and absorbing means it can hold more fluid and cover odd size wounds.

How did you get it to auto snap to the article comment section?
Didnt realize you could share that and it wouldn’t default to the article.
3 months short for me but that’s because it took me that long to figure out how Lemmy worked.
Krauerking@lemy.lolto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•This is a joke right? (Xbox ROG Ally)English2·1 month agoThey used to lower the price of Xboxes/?Xbeexes? lower than actual profit margins because they could get more in game sales.
I think the finances are no longer there though to do that but I think it would inspire people to get the game pass more if they did.
Krauerking@lemy.lolto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•This is a joke right? (Xbox ROG Ally)English2·1 month agoI’m so hoping Microsoft eats some of the cost of this and makes it a reasonable price. Think of the awesomeness of $600-700 handheld console that can be much more easily modded than the switch 2.

Krauerking@lemy.lolto Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•*Permanently Deleted*English3·1 month agoNone I think. I paid for all my streaming services that had these movies and shows and then have sourced everything else through originals or sources that were rentable.
This is that whole issue with defining ownership with digital media. Movies were called the greatest financial invention of America because they only had to make a product once and could sell it forever.
With digital media and technology increases we now have a much easier time owning our own copies. This is likely literally what NFTs hoped to fix to make set revenue of of each digital file and also why they failed because they are so easy to copy anyways.
So, none, or an infinite amount, depending on if you ask me or a business major.

If they are keeping their “art” at arms length to avoid making to loud of a statement in it, then I am well within my right to call it lame.
Krauerking@lemy.lolto 3DPrinting@lemmy.world•Civil disobedience earring/keychain set (requires bread tie)English01·2 months agoUhh no they say this was from games that have bricks and molotov cocktails in it. Nothing to do with cultural events. Just look at the post.
Krauerking@lemy.lolto 3DPrinting@lemmy.world•Civil disobedience earring/keychain set (requires bread tie)English01·2 months agoThis is so lame.
Wow. Way to stick it to man with your symbolism non-symbolism that’s how people feel but not you.
Like you want to care but not too much that it looks uncool. Action at full arms length so as not to do anything
Your lack of conviction is lame and so is this.

Yeah the best ones are just taking advantage of our empathetic neurons to initiate a conversation. The terrifying ones then use that opening to inject their own thoughts on others.
The wealthy have more time to shop around and more money to choose another option so companies think they need to provide extra incentives to get them which means better treatment and prices and etcetera.
The poor? Ehh gouge for all they are worth and hope they die so you don’t have to hear them complain.
Which is insane cause that means the poor are the profit margins allowing for the deals of the wealthy.
