Achievements or multiplayer matching not being implemented in the game itself isn’t on GOG. They still allow you to download and launch any game you’ve bought, without even requiring galaxy.
Also lesser known is the fact that there are DRM-free games on steam. Download them once, you can play without having steam running or even installed. Using a client to download isn’t inherently DRM either.
Oh, I read that as “Donating that” where that=blood. Explains a lot, yea. The limit here in germany for blood was very few times per year too. Plasma was allowed a lot more frequently though.
…what? Donating blood is a perfectly common thing in “civilization” including spain. The benefits to the recipients far outweigh the risks to the donator.
Isn’t the US the only country in the world requiring its citizens to pay taxes if they both live and work abroad? Or is there some huge earning limit to that that most people will never reach?
Through that logic I’d always figured unanimous stems from “without animosity” and the word animous just got lost to time, which would make un-animous the more sensible pronunciation. But it seems that while they do share a common etymology, it’s not “un” as in negation, but rather “un” from “unus” meaning one, with both sharing “animus” meaning mind.
I also found out that animous used to exist as a synonym for animus at one point.

The highest GDPR fine was 1.2 billion. As far as I know nothing is stopping the EU from imposing higher and higher fines with continued breach of guidelines there, and I would expect these fair market regulations to work similarly.
Also for reference, that fine was against meta, who had 34 billion in revenue in 2023. So that fine cost them around 3% of their global revenue, which I’m sure is tolerable, but definitely approaching the point of hurting.
Hmm, I wonder if we could get an EU law that requires enabling testing of third party apps globally, as anything else is suppressing competition.

For one, they’re not weebs they’re just anime otaku, but also that is only a subset of anime and it’s mostly just a judgemental stereotype. They have ads on the subway for birthday events for popular anime characters ffs. Many pachinko machines are anime themed, including after late night anime which are the negatively stereotyped ones. You know who doesn’t have enough money to be a profitable target for gambling establishments? People with no job living in a basement.
And that’s all while ignoring that pretty much no one chooses that life style voluntarily and I see no reason to make fun of these people.
