Wouldn’t this require a genetic component as well? All life on this planet shares a very large portion of the same DNA, with only minute variances between branches in life categories, even bacteria. Oxygen is a huge component of energy production for sure, but it doesn’t spontaneously illicit life.
Seeded with genetic material and given a few million years, you would probably be right - but it would require genetic/DNA ‘ruleset’ I would think.
There are several institutes that differ from your opinion on abundance and profitability. There is an estimated millions of tons of helium-3 in the lunar surface at just a few meters down and it’s estimated that just 25 tons would suffice to fuel the US power consumption for a year, and 200 ton for global needs.
Regardless of helium-3, establishing the infrastructure will allow for other mining as well. Platinum and other rare earth metals. Whoever does it first is going to make a butt load of money.

hmm, I guess I’m wrong. I read about helium-3 a long time ago and I must have mistaken the purpose. I guess helium-3 is a byproduct of fission and can be used for fusion, but the energy cost to produce it in this manner is massive and isn’t sustainable.
Helium-3 is filtered out by the atmosphere so very little of it occurs naturally on earth, the lunar surface was the best/easiest place to mine for it.
There is a lot of countries in the world that still use nuclear fusion, and despite doomsayers it’s still the best option for the future…

Dope. The more stellar exploration, the better. I don’t care who is doing it as long as it’s happening. I wish someone would find a huge vein of some valuable resource on the moon or mars so it would hurry up the exploitation crowd that typically drives expansion…
I wonder what happened to the U.S. initiative to mine helium-3 from the moon? There was a plan to create a moon base a few years ago specifically for that.
Both Win 10 & 11 have been great from a user standpoint. The only complaints I’ve had (or heard about from friends) have been about forced updates that couldn’t be disabled when Win10 went to R2.

Definitely wait for the DLC. With it comes a complete overhaul of several game mechanics and the skill trees. It will be a different game technically, but the story will still be the same.

This app looks really good. It looks almost exactly how I have my kbin account set up with scripts in a browser, and the gestures are very nice. - I hope it adds kbin support or one of the kbin apps ends up looking like this or better.

I hope so too. I just want to see some space faring progress in my lifetime. I missed the boat and am too dumb to contribute, but I can hope greed can bridge the gap where basic human progress fails to meet expansionist ideals. If it has to begin on the backs of investor money, at least it gets the ball rolling.
