I dunno, I have so many USB c chargers and cables around that I bin them every time a device comes with another cable.

Yes I completely understand that. But it also undermines the “give your older laptop a new life with Linux” narrative that’s out there at times. It’s actually not that easy. I’m happy running Linux but I wouldn’t put it on my moms old laptop…
This is my life right now.
I put Linux on my HP laptop…
Speakers give weird sound Media keys don’t work Worst of all: ever since I updated the laptop somehow crashes my router? Like, I don’t even know how this is possible, but it’s happening.
I’m not an idiot but all the solutions to getting these seemingly basic things to work as intended are extremely contrived.
Probably for “security reasons”
Immediately lost me at non-tactile keyboard. Who wants this.
Ex lease laptops and monitors are also often very good deals!
The monitors often come with very well adjustable stands that are much more ergonomic. The laptops are often very high build quality and perfect for regular home office use.
Lol I’m not in a country that operates like that.
Off to get one now 😄
Yep, as much as I love adguard (and I’m SO happy I bought a lifetime android subscription ten years ago when it was just a few dollars), smaettube is probably enough for most
It’s probably safe until someone decides to go look what’s inside their smoke detector
Or right next to my balls for like 10 hours a day.
True. I grew up in the Netherlands where things are similar but now live in New Zealand. The highest tax bracket in NZ is the lowest tax bracket in the Netherlands.
It will be very difficult for me to go back and pay huge taxes again, knowing that despite the taxes healthcare isn’t free there and corporations getting so many tax incentives. it feels like the burden is unfairly placed on individuals.
It depends on the kind of work you do. My work is very collaborative, and despite trying I’ve not found online collaboration as effective.
It doesn’t help that the people working from home seem to have very different priorities.
Holy shit you guys pay a lot of taxes.
The average annual wage in Germany is 45k
That’s fine, they can work somewhere else
“We’re not asking we’re informing” lollll
Having said that… People working from home has been the biggest frustration in my work for the past three years. I specifically picked a company where people like to come in, and are required to for at least three days. I want to work with people, not anonymous voices with cameras switched off not responding to calls and messages (I’m sure they’re all hard at work lmao)
I hoped you misread that otherwise you have issues haha
Why?
They’re still immeasurably better than Spotify, both for artists and in terms of bitrate…
