I run a pair of Audioengine combined with a 24bit DAC of the same brand and they sound great without breaking the bank too much.

Have you tried a DNS service such as

I use this to get around geoblocked sites that actively block VPN, you can get a 2 weeks trial to see if it’s suitable for your purpose.
