No, you need an account on mastodon or another microblog platform
You can’t easily run the normal version. You can install the android version fairly easily, but running the normal version requires you to enable a debian container from developer options
have you tried :q!
Most package managers have a way to list all the files a package will install
I would hope they’re protected by the router firewall
This doesn’t say they’re removing it, just deprecating it. I thought it had been deprecated for ages
They can’t show you ads if you never connect them to the internet
You can get decently capable machines for under $100 if you go used
Natively somehow, or via LFS? If you have LFS set up, explorer lets you use it to mount Linux disks
Did you get it through your carrier? They add extra bloat vs buying it unlocked
Don’t most routers run some form of BSD?
You can fix most apps with the Play Integrity Fix module and denylist. You might have to hide the magisk app too. It doesn’t get 100% of them though, I still can’t figure out how my bank app is catching it. Plus I’ve had RCS stop working with that setup, so I have to keep it disabled to avoid missing messages
Not necessarily. You have to be able to tell between language strings vs strings that are supposed to be hardcoded
At least with AMD on Wayland, gpu offloading works seamlessly. But I’m not sure if the GPU is actually powered off when I’m not using it; my use case is an egpu rather than a dual GPU laptop so I don’t notice battery from it. I don’t know what the situation is with Nvidia or xorg
Theoretically they could be reported by federated servers that do have it enabled
They realized banning convenience is bad for business. You can still pay in private ways
Actually, it seems I was misunderstanding. Apparently all mastodon posts get federated as appearing on !random, so I’m not sure what I was seeing
But on mastodon, there’s a feed that lets you view all posts from all federated instances. Wouldn’t mbin users be excluded from that feed when posting to !random?
Edit: I was looking, and it seems to me that if a user posts to !random, I can’t even see it on their profile from mastodon? Am I misunderstanding this?
Is Intel Core Ultra Series 1 current gen, or is it a gen old by now? Framework has them, but I suppose you technically can’t get them since they’re currently on preorder
