Well the minute they do and it works for sharing videos as well so we can watch YouTube as a group then we will drop discord super quick. I won’t want to host it at mine but I’ll happily pay for a vps for it.

Same, if only teamspeak supported screen sharing / streaming, then it would be fine.
Any luck with the vero?
Nice, should be a nice upgrade! Been debating getting the V for av1 support, but I’m also just holding off hoping Apple TV will support it soon.
Do you experience buffering if you watch on a pc / laptop on VLC via network? This will tell you if it’s network speed related or hardware power related. I would assume the pi is not quite powerful enough. I am using a device called a Vero 4k+ and it works wonderfully. But my network setup sounds similar to yours, I just have an smb share on my pc and I added it as a source in kodi.
Yet! It will be an option everywhere eventually…
I’d think that too, but I had my first ever ride in a Tesla recently and the way the supercharger network is handled seems pretty clean. Far from a Tesla fan boy but way the car books you a slot and then charges you a fortune if you overstay meant that we had no problem getting a space. Once charging becomes the norm it will be fine.
Even with a 10-15 mins recharge? A couple of times a year I do make a 500 mile journey and if there wasn’t a sea in the way I would happily do it all in one sitting. But as a teeny tiny compromise I wouldn’t mind stopping to charge once or twice along the way! It would add about 20 mins to the journey sure, but seems like it’s worth the benefits to me.
Hopefully it less hormonal side affects than the female pill. But yeah having an extra level of protection will be nice.
Nah I think it was a company called “Packt” that everyone in the thread was complaining about so hopefully this one is different. But for sure would love to hear from someone who has read them.
It will depend on the books maybe someone already has read them can chime in. But I saw a post like this for golang, and everyone in the comments were saying the books were ai generated crap.
There is an iOS app I discovered yesterday called ProxMate, and it seems pretty nice!
Instead of encrypting the entire drive, encrypt the home folder. That way it’s unlocked when you sign in.
They’ve had a real problem with names recently. I wonder if the laid all the creative people off in that company. Miss me with this “new outlook” “new teams” “teams for work and school” just think of a new name for each app for the love of god…
Verso 4K+ is good, there is a new one as well that supports av1, but it’s not that cheap.
I’m fortunate enough to get 1gig through Vodafone, but even then the upload speed sucks so bad. Every time I see Telekom speeds I feel so bad for the guys that can’t get Vodafone. I keep looking at houses outside the city and the infrastructure is awful. I keep seeing 20mb as maximum on the house listing!
Would be a welcome competition for Google fibre to come here, but as far as I know they only ever did the US right?
Honestly the thing that annoys me the most about this isn’t the privacy aspect. It’s the fact that they called it “new outlook”. Which means now at work I have to explain that no, this isn’t real outlook it’s just MS being useless wankers and not being able to come up with a new name for a new product. See also, teams vs teams for work and school. They did the same thing with Skype and Skype for business back in the day and still pisses me off.
Why do I feel like more riots are going to follow very quickly?
Yeah there was enough ambiguous behaviour from them for me to decide fuck it, keep using TeamViewer for now, even though TeamViewer has their own issues not long ago…
