The deeper I get into this platform the more I realize the guise of being ‘progressive, left, privacy-conscious, tech inclined’ is literally the opposite.

??? So why don’t we get better at making energy than get scared about using a renewable resource. Fuck it let’s just go back to the printing press.
Amazing to me how stuff like this gets upvoted on a supposedly progressive platform.
Now this is something I can get behind. But I was talking about the decision to retaliate in the first place.
Why?? Please make this make sense. Having AI to help with coding is ideal and the greatest immediate use case probably. The web is an open resource. Why die on this stupid hill instead of advocating for a privacy argument that actually matters?
Edit: Okay got it. Hinder significant human progress because a company I don’t like might make some more money from something I said in public, which has been a thing literally forever. You guys really lack a lot of life skills about how the world really works huh?
I made this massive playlist which you should DEFINITELY not listen to if you’re easily offended.
Hmmm, no custom bare metal commercial product running linux? Roger that captain.

Ubuntu advertises their paid cloud hosting service every time you install server manually.
Here’s my prediction. Over the next couple decades the internet is going to be so saturated with fake shit and fake people, it’ll become impossible to use effectively, like cable television. After this happens for a while, someone is going to create a fast private internet, like a whole new protocol, and it’s going to require ID verification (fortunately automated by AI) to use. Your name, age, and country and state are all public to everybody else and embedded into the protocol.
The new ‘humans only’ internet will be the new streaming and eventually it’ll take over the web (until they eventually figure out how to ruin that too). In the meantime, they’ll continue to exploit the infested hellscape internet because everybody’s grandma and grampa are still on it.

It says it won’t give it usernames, probably a hardcoded thing
I dunno man, these are awfully specific. In case it wasn’t obvious I’ve never had an interest in cricket or PL/I.
Copilot Using the web Sure, here are the details from our previous conversations:
On Sat, 06 Apr 2024, you asked me about PL/I (Programming Language One). I explained that it is a procedural, imperative computer programming language initially developed by IBM. It is designed for scientific, engineering, business, and system programming. PL/I has been in continuous use by academic, commercial, and industrial organizations since it was introduced in the 1960s. The language syntax is English-like and suited for describing complex data formats with a wide set of functions available to verify and manipulate them. PL/I supports recursion, structured programming, linked data structure handling, fixed-point, floating-point, complex, character string handling, and bit string handling. PL/I is a block-structured language, consisting of packages, procedures, statements, expressions, and built-in functions. Programs written in PL/I are made up of blocks, which can be either subroutines or groups of statements. On Thu, 11 Apr 2024, I repeated the details about the last cricket match between India and Australia: 3rd ODI: The IND vs AUS 3rd ODI was on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Australia beat India by 21 runs in the third men’s one-day international. Australia’s spinners put the squeeze on India and leg-spinner Adam Zampa shone bright with the ball as Australia bundled out India for 248 in 49.1 overs. Australian players celebrated with the trophy after they won the third ODI cricket match against India to win the series 2-1. 3rd T20: The last India vs Australia 3rd T20I was in 2022. India beat Australia by six wickets in the third and final T20I to clinch the three-match series 2-1 on Sunday. Cameron Green (52 off 21 balls) and Tim David (54) scored the bulk of runs as Australia put 186 for 7 after being invited to bat.
Interestingly it’s not random, whenever I ask it again it’s returning the same results for a user who’s not me (though these answers may be associated with me now)
When I do this in Bing it gives me the answers to other users’ queries.
What if I told you the words right wing and left wing had only a marginal relevance in reality. Mind blowing I know.
Probably the userbase so far. Love the platform. The political stuff on here especially seems like it comes from people who’ve never been laid or been able to hold a serious conversation in public.
Pretty sure this should be in reverse? And can you really say you’re into Linux if you don’t even know what the fuck WSL is?
Who cares? Why the reach for moral superiority? I don’t have an issue with stealing IP. Because the concept of IP is stupid. But I’m not going to rub myself off over what to call it.
Builds New PC -> Can’t even start Steam
Somehow I don’t think the problem is Windows.
Having no idea what this is about and being on a Linux meme subreddit is absolutely peak Lemmy.
