Ooooh, I love GeckOS, rolls off the tongue silky smooth. Maybe this is just a great opportunity to rebrand (again)

This is awesome, of course it’s xkdc. Thanks, now I can rest easy
Now I wonder how much bandwith do post offices have theoretically
Why entertainment is a luxury, knowledge and education is basically what human civilization is built upon and should be free. Of course the reality is that people need money in the current system we live in and we have to reward those somehow who dedicates their time and efforts to education.
So I’ve arrived to a conundrum… Because I think morally it’s more acceptable to pirate educational content (imho), but I’m also more likely to pay the educators, as it is a very important job. Of course this does not apply to when someone just gatekeeps knowledge because of greed, it’s very similar to charity fraud in my book
I’m personally not going to hate on or dismiss a person based on political opinions or ideologies
This… Also, what a loaded and opinionated question. It implies that you shouldn’t be on X because of Elon Musk, if OP was genuinely curious about why someone uses X, they could have asked a neutral question: “Are you using X? Why or why not?” or “If you are using X, why and how?”. This currently just reflects the OP’s opinion for validation I guess?
Yeah. You just have to be aware of how others percieve you and just write that. Your percieved strengths and weaknesses and all that. In no way do you have to actually evaluate yourself as a person.
You can use without plugins as well, they are not a must. I've been using Obsidian for years just for it's inter-connected markdown references. Kind of like a wiki, I'm just taking markdown notes and sometimes create a link to another related note. Also, good at handling attachments and embeds. I haven't used anything else (maybe tags nowadays… But that's it) Thing is, if you like markdown then you should give it a go.
You’re right, I did not even notice the persistent notification! What a unnecessarily annoying move. This deserved an early bird uninstall for me…
Thank you for the tip, I’ll sign up. I occasionally use the audio call functionality, but shouldn’t be an issue.
I’ve tried, and on the mobile site there’s no way to access Messenger. Only workaround is if you force the desktop version on messenger.com but it is very inconvenient.
So, do you think we need to step up to the developers to implement captcha or give way to the community and support a fork with better anty-spam measures?
Who is impacted? Everyone, it just instances upgrading to 0.18?
To be honest, your post doesn’t really explain the current situation and impact It’s a call to arms, but I have no idea how important it impactful it is.
Very good article, I agree with most of the points.
I also like to think that AI will never replace programmers, because for that to happen, the customer would have to give complete, correct and full requirements and specifications in plain, simple English - we know that almost never happens. Instead, you have to force the requirements out of them with pliers!
I do the same. I have 500GiB storage for my Pi4, which I use for torrenting and Kodi. I delete stuff if I watched it and it reaches 2:1 seed ratio, or after a couple of months. So in a way I don’t really have a collection.
