I have a GM vehicle I like. I already don’t pay them for OnStar. I’m certainly not going to pay them to replace my phone. And then likely have to pay for cellular access for my car.

4·1 year agoBoth times I used either one of them, it crashed in the middle of compressing my hard drive and I had to reformat. But they worked fine the 2nd try!
I liked the People Hub that Windows Phone 8 started with. But none of the social media platforms wanted you to be able to use their services without seeing their ads so …

4·1 year agoSo the total anticipated cost for development and 5 years of operation is like, 1.2% of the US military budget for just 2024. Say 5 years for development and 5 years of operation, that’s 0.12% of the military budget per year.
That doesn’t sound that massive to me. In the scope of things.
One day when I was visiting home office I ran into him in the elevator. My lead introduced me to him. I blurted out, “Oh the guy who sends the I love everyone!” emails.
He promptly started swearing and cursing our manager and saying what things he would do to him if he caught him in a dark alley and ranted for the duration of the elevator ride. Then shook my hand and said “Nice to meet you!” and went on with his day.
An old boss of mine would find people who left their computer logged in and would send an email to the department from it saying “I love you all so much!”
I worked in a different office and didn’t realize that’s what was happening. I just thought the Russian guy was happy to be in America.
