Repealing that act should be one of the largest priorities of leftists in the United States. I wish people talked about it more.

It’s based on posts and comments.
I’m glad to hear it, this will make the mobile version much more usable.
I would be inclined to agree with you if they didn't get rid of Premium Light. I think charging users for avoiding ads is completely reasonable, we live in a Capitalist country and video hosting isn't cheap. Even still, axing Premium Light shows a desire to screw over users in order to achieve more profit, which in my mind makes YouTube scummy.
It truly is disgusting that they’ve made this model. Tinder has always been severely flawed in my opinion, but this makes it several times worse.
I suppose flying a drone in a video game isn’t that much different than flying one in real life, so this makes sense.
This is great news. Hopefully their success will inspire more studios to hold onto the genre.
GrapheneOS sounds cool, I’ll take a look into it. Generally, I prefer the customizability and openness of FOSS and OSS solutions, but I’ll use proprietary solutions out of necessity or if they bring me significantly more convenience.
It is on Connect.
It’s cool to see it so close to being ready, I’m looking forward to trying it out myself!
Indeed. It’s also nice how transparent the algorithms here are, we have access to the source code and documentation so we all know exactly how they work.
That’s true but did anyone think Meta cared about mental well-being? They’re a company, their only goal is to make money.
Damn, imagine posting about piracy to the piracy community. That’s crazy!
I use the streaming services I have for unrelated reasons (included with something else usually) in a half-hearted attempt to support the creators, but I will pirate most viewing media (TV + movies) by default now.
I’m really looking forward to it! I’ve been using the novelty of Lemmy to try out a bunch of different apps, and I look forward to trying Sync for the first time.
They did the same thing in my comment thread. Ignored my source, cherry-picked a single argument they had a rebuttal for, and dismissed any culpability SpaceX could have had.
That would require Elon to give up control, so I’m guessing it’s gonna be a no from him.
liquid methane
Isn’t methane one of the worst greenhouse gasses? It doesn’t have as much longevity as carbon dioxide but traps significantly more heat and will decompose into carbon dioxide afterward. The debris apparently also affected hundreds of acres of land, including damaging the habitats of protected wildlife. As well as that, Musk chose to forgo launchpad frame trenches which are historically used to keep launch pads from exploding but didn’t have his water-cooled steel plate idea ready, so instead idiotically used nothing (Source). In the past, I would have been willing to write off these mistakes as unfortunate but unpredictable, but after seeing the debacle with Twitter I’ve honestly come to believe that Elon Musk is a profoundly stupid man that just got lucky.
I’m currently using IONOS, but mainly because they’re well-priced and hosted out of my home country. For privacy-oriented VPS services, I found this article after a bit of searching that seems to be decent.
I found the original study in the article, it’s in German. Here it is (Linux Gaming: Test Results and Conclusion), it looks like most Linux distros have worse lows and frame times than Windows 11, other than Arch Linux which seems to be a tossup.
