  • Anything that suggests you believe the current state of the world is acceptable outs you as a lib. Saying things like “Yeah Biden’s got some problems, but at least he didn’t do a few of the things trump did.” If you believe that things would have been fine were it not for trump, you’re a lib. Or a moron, I cant always tell the difference.

Heres a great summary of liberalism: “If we put forward good policies into the politics machine, then other people will too, and because I have absolute faith in the system established by a bunch of slave owners, whatever comes out MUST be just and good.” Which of course implies that if the result you want or need DOESNT come out of the politics machine, it is right and just that you should not get it.

Like, they fundamentally don’t realize that the politics machine is capable of breaking, and that it has been broken for a LONG time (basically the moment it was asked to value the needs of someone who wasn’t wealthy, white, and male.)

  • Yeah okay, I obviously don’t have proof and also don’t give a fuck. Regardless, my point on Taylor was that she isn’t some supermodel. if I just knew her in real life, I’d have no issue deciding not to call her back, which isn’t true for most famous women. Obviously because Taylor is actually talented, while basically every other famous young woman was selected for fame almost entirely for her looks.

Nothing they had written was incorrect, on a site the size of Wikipedia, adding more true but functionally useless pages is only ever a (very minor) benefit. If there were only 1000 pages, sure, it’d be clutter. But it is already the case that to find anything you have to search for it, meaning it is a net positive to create those pages.

  • I’ve only seen 1 episode so far, but IMO the format shift is worth it for the visual effects. Like, Sozin just straight up incinerating that guy would not have worked so well in the anime. And the actors seem quite good (the leads at least). My only real complaint is with the writing. And I mean, it’s not as if the original didn’t also have some pretty badly written lines in the first episodes. Adding in an actual 100 years earlier segment at the start is a big improvement, and it also gives us a taste of the kickass action scenes that are to come. At least for the intro to the show, live action seems significantly better than animated was.
