Can confirm group-watching with Plex. I did this quite a few times with some friends during the darkest initial pandemic times and it's a great way to connect with distant friends. Yeah, there’s no question that the userbase is incredibly dedicated and that permanent loss of the site’s content would be a huge loss for its users. Their deep-cut content is unparalleled. I just recommend that anyone relying on it keep a backup site in mind.

My account got pruned a couple of years ago and IRC has been a total shitshow on and off, so I was never able to figure out what the problem was. I don’t know what the story has been with that site, but I’ve moved on and have no regrets. Seems like that might be good advice for others as this is not exactly an isolated incident.
