I generally seem to have had a good experience with Linux Mint. I use the cinnamon version.

Even dist upgrades don’t seem to be too much trouble.

I used to main Gentoo but that was a lot of work. I still miss it though, but that was almost 20 years ago, when I was unemployed, and had more free time than money.

I run Windows 10 on my personal laptop and I look at these changes for the sake of change and I am seriously considering wiping it and not just use Linux in a VM.

Need to find out how to fight it, and kill it.

My 32gb machine is still running windows 10 and I have been dreading having to switch. I figured that the 8gb was the reason why the other was sluggish now I’m not so sure. I haven’t upgraded my personal devices yet either. I hate that they keep trying to reinvent the wheel with the “metro” backend that they built with windows 8. I saw that even the devices and printers control panel was fully moved into the settings app… Thanks for the reply, I will probably try to hold out a little longer …

And yeah, I follow someone for Ukraine news on YouTube. He’s pushed some theories that proved to be untrue so I guess that I have to do my own fact checking. Overall he seems to be good, but he seldomly talks about times that he was wrong.

In general, these things are zipping around the earth at 17,000 mph. There’s 5,504 of them. Space is already dangerous with all of the space garbage in orbit. If these were to collide it could easily make getting things into orbit due to the debris and the chain reaction if the debris caused more debris from impact even more dangerous. Space garbage really is something we don’t have a solution for.
