I think the main problem with GIMP is that it was made by developers with developers in mind, completely ignoring how digital artists work. Like it or not, everybody has to take pages from Photoshop (and co.) like how Affinity and Krita are doing, otherwise there’s really no incentive to completely change your workflow.

Looks pretty good. I’m a sucker for pill based categories and control panels like yours and Android’s. Wish I could do something like this on KDE (you can pry Plasma out of my cold dead hands)

I really appreciate you saying “if your situation and use case allows it”. I’m sick of people “suggesting” these kind of things by just saying “don’t do this” “stop doing that” while completely ignoring that not everyone has the same use cases, preferences and possibilities for such.

Modes & Routines is literally Bixby Routines renamed to remove the Bixby branding (and to avoid confusion with people thinking it’s part of the voice assistant). Absolutely nothing was removed from this change other than the Bixby name and it’s still the same good and old Samsung developed app, Google has nothing to do with it.

Judging by the fact that you can set multiple if conditions (and it explicitly says “when all conditions below are met”) straight from the main view of the routine, it means you haven’t even tried creating a routine at all.

Nope, never used a private tracker before (forgot to add this). The site just seems innacurate.

I don’t use a VPN nor I bother with one, I download movie torrents all the time (5 this week already) and the list is completely empty. I do have dynamic IP but ir usually only changes after I restart my router, which I haven’t done for a month now.

The references to subscription were related to IoT Enterprise Subscription, which has nothing to do with the consumer facing OS that we all use. There's also no mention whatsoever of Windows 12 in this leak, or anything else coming from Microsoft, except for NeoWin's clickbait articles where they slap the 12 and make false claims without any basis, such as the one pcmag based this article on.

The last I check it, the law only allowed for certified repair shops to disassemble and repair phones with their tools, without needing something specialized from the OEM or any extra activation steps, but people jumped to the conclusion that the average Joe could entirely dismantle their phone with a screwdriver from the comfort of their home.

While the salaries and economic power in Brazil are a lot lower than the US, our internet and phone plans are a lot cheaper, accessible and provide a better service than most of the US, that still stuck in data caps, feature blocking and low speeds.

I have never heard about this here in Latin America. If you want to port forward you can easily do it via your router, even the ISP’s provided ones. There’s also nothing stopping you from using the ISP router only as a bridge and handling everything from your own router, the ISP router only needs to receive the internet and nothing more.

It’s funny how out of touch with reality Americans are.

Here in Brazil I’m paying around 20 USD for fiber optic 1000mbps down and 500mbps up without data caps. Brazilian law also only considers piracy a crime if there’s profit (i.e. trying to sell a movie I’ve downloaded), so there’s no need to hide anything.

My home internet speeds almost never drop below 90%, there’s also a law that requires ISPs to deliver at least 80% of what was paid for. You can easily port forward, there are no blocks or anything. We also have dynamic IPs, but you can easily get around that by using a DDNS.

My mobile plan is around $15, I get 45GB monthly with 5G at no extra cost (5G gets around 300-600mbps down depending on the time of the day), unlimited calling to any number in the country, unlimited SMS (nobody uses SMS though), and for roaming I get 1GB daily internet and 1 hour daily calling with no extra cost.

All of this is cheap and very accessible to everyone.
