The cashier is paid to take orders, whether they take 1 long obnoxious order or 3 small orders, it’s the same shit.

People are so swept up in ‘kindness and support’ (internet circlejerking), they think that the fact you inconvenienced some 17 year old, representing a massive corporation, as a fuck you to the company that employs them, you’ve committed some moral sin against your fellow man.

I joined Facebook when it first came out, when it was still only for Uni students, used it for many years and stopped probably about 8-10 years ago now. Fuck, how long has it been around for?

Anyway, I’ve recently rediscovered Facebook as I bought an old muscle car and I’ve been enjoying the groups and marketplace for parts.

Anyway, just a thought from an old Facebook user.

You could live like the first 2020 years of our timeline.

It’s not technology alone, but what was previously a local ordeal is now spread worldwide and with our ever interesting screen time to the point some people live half their life digitally, it’s only getting worse.

I don’t even think it’s Andrew Tate specifically and I think that’s a big problem.

I’m in my early 30s and grew up being ‘the tech generation’, adults marvelled at our simple abilities. Now I see 20 something’s and even teens and they’ve surpassed us in every way, not so much in technical skill but they live in social media.

Smart watches, tik toks, face time and yada yada. It seems like a borderline gamble what will tickle their fancy or even what the algorithm will just repeatedly shove down their throat until they ‘like it’.

I guess what I’m saying is I think the reliance and love of technology is what pushed a lot of these young guys into listening to this fucking clown as opposed to straight up ideology.

It really is embarrassing. It’s a common theme on Lemmy, Reddit too but not the extremes in large casual subs.

Left and right both bullshit and exaggerate so many of these stories and it makes them both look like clowns.

But hey, I’m fully prepared for a bunch of downvotes because this place has the self reflection of a fucking mop.
