  • Is “He” not correct grammatically speaking?

Let’s be real here, I’ve seen every post about Lady Bird and every time someone comes in to make a huge nothing burger about this PR. Yall are just a gigantic mob out for blood for absolutely no reason.

Your concern should be whether or not the browser works, its not even finished ffs. If this were a released, absolutely 100% complete app, then sure! Go and be pessimistic about grammar. However I can garauntee you they have bigger obstacles to overcome.

  • So is the Internet Archive a library, or a preservation place? I feel like you’re advocating for them to be both, which isn’t how the law views them.

Edit: I for one would prefer they not waste money on a losing battle, and stick to preserving things. Id hate to see them lose on trying to be a library, and then all of their efforts wasted.

I’ll admit that I do like that they’re trying to scurt the law by doing what you’ve said, but it clearly isn’t enough.

  • I think its an incredibly fair view point. If IA loses, and the way back machine goes down, because they keep losing these lawsuits, then it has absolutely affected this person.

To be quite honest, I even agree. The IA should be for preservation, not for piracy. Right now they’re boarding that line of piracy, and tbh, I disagree with that as well. Id rather go to a pirate website to pirate my books, and go to the IA to see what has been preserved.

  • People are constantly pushing others toward Linux, because its nothing like it used to be. Id never touched a terminal screen besides a run command in Windows. I still haven’t had to touch when, except for making monecraft work a long time ago. (Which was as easy as copy pasting the commands by the way, and I was not at all doing something typical. Yet the guides were there.)

I can say however, finding a fix on Linux is significantly easier than it can be on windows. Just like any os, you’re gonna find times where you’re alone.

  • Id like to know what means “too much fiddling”. So far in my steam library of 400+ games, there has only been one that didn’t work with my Steam Deck, and it was because the Devs chose Kernel Level Anticheat over making the game available to Linux users.

Hell, the most “fiddling” i do, is “Add game as a non-steam game” through lutris so my controller works in gaming mode. Or maybe I have to change the graphics preset from high to low? If thats too much fiddling than yeah, I guess I’d be curious what you do on windows that isn’t considered fiddling.

  • Generally speaking the threshold for when money becomes evil, is when you’re actively defending, hoarding, and even lashing out at poor people for dare saying you could be using the money better.

If you truly have millions then you could just as easily donate to food shelters, help lobby for laws that don’t ban homelessness, you could even use that money to defend the people who are being squashed by the wealthy.

There are millions of things to do with your millions of dollars, that also won’t leave you broke. Its sad to think you equate helping/donating = becoming poor.
