And water

We’re all secretly longing for the macbook wheel that was leaked over 15 years ago:

Fred Rogers (of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood). For my generation, he helped to shape our views on kindness and compassion for humankind. He fought for public access funding in the United States. He helped break color barriers on television. He helped us enjoy jazz.
I have not encountered another media personality who was so genuinely invested in making sure that kids had the tools they needed to deal with the emotional parts of existence. I’m tearing up again thinking about how much he did for us.

It is sad that this guy just can’t let go.
Honestly though, if he can preemptively put sufficient funds into escrow dedicated to managing all aspects of the site and engineering plans for digging with minimal perturbation of each waste cell, then let him have it*.
(* Escrow amount should be approximately $780m)

You could, but should pick a different drive than c (this will likely break a ton of stuff)

I actually really like that fsutil case sensitivity can be set on a folder by folder basis so that I can have a safe space to deal with Linux files.
If it wasn’t an infosec issue (because no math rocks), it would be an opsec or comsec issue. We’re the weak link unfortunately.

Bummer. The '\?' prefix will work regardless of registry setting, though it’s a pain to remember each time.

You can also enable long paths in w10/11 (30,000+ characters). Instructions are here:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/fileio/maximum-file-path-limitation?tabs=registry

Can’t you work around that with the extended length prefix of \\?\ (\\?\C:\whateverlongpathhere\)? Though admittedly, it is a pain in the ass to use.

“Maximum Overdrive” for me.
Also, great call on Megaforce.

Are kids still even taught the three Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle)? I was always taught that they were listed in order of importance, but that seems to conflict with modern capitalism.

For anyone in RHEL / Fedora land (or using dnf somewhere else), try dnf needs-restarting to list executables that have mismatched files on disk vs memory. The -r flag will hint if a reboot is needed (due to things like kernel or glibc changes)
I’m curious when and where “singular they” was taught as incorrect. Coming from the Midwest in the 80s (not exactly a liberal or forward thinking place), I was taught in no uncertain terms that singular they was appropriate in many circumstances. And my teacher was old as hell, so her education on the matter probably dated to around WW2.

Have you never been approached by a weird dude at a gas station who is selling “fresh” meat out of a cooler in the trunk of his car?
We live in very different places. (Not sarcasm, this has happened to me about a dozen times)

It’s slowly coming back to me… There was a floppy disk that you needed to launch the raid config? Also the platform ran pretty well with debian 4.0 if you’re debating what to run on it.

For a non-pizza comment: I’ve been out of the hardware game for awhile, but the last time I had to set one of these up for RAID, the paper manual (which can probably be found digitally) was helpful. I also vaguely recall RAID 5 either having issues or being unavailable.

The gate crew often gets graded on how quickly they complete boarding, so don’t be surprised when your plane’s “full” overhead compartments are half empty. Stupid job metrics strike again.
There’s no place like home
