World be worth getting for the multiplayer alone. That was always good fun, unless you were among the people that could not connect to anyone because you forgot to sacrifice your unborn child to the sun god of some strange networking reason.
Cars being online has some tangible benefits in that they can transmit location data to emergency services, especially if the driver is unresponsive. Might save someone from dying in a ditch in the middle of nowhere.
Arguably, some of the data collected while driving is also very useful for maintenance and development (e.g. if a lot of vehicles start having a similar issue after X miles).
That said, this data should be limited in scope and use (e.g. must not be sold, especially not to insurance companies), as well as anonymized as much as possible. Which is currently not the case, and that definitely needs regulation.
Yes, this does nothing for game dev. But I don’t think it was supposed to.
The fact that this is a genAI Model generating a reasonable, context aware image a whopping 20 times a second is nonetheless pretty impressive.
I played it as a kid and then some friends reintroduced me to it on uni, including time of custom maps and game modes (the rules of which had to be enforced by ourselves)
Like maps where you only had rope, but there was a crate spawn every turn.
Or where you had to rope over a spire in the center of the map before you were allowed to attack, with a 45s turn timer to make it even spicier.
At some points, we even projected the game above the blackboard while doing coursework, which was as about as productive as it sounds.

It basically was a dynamic form, where the next questions were based on the previous answers.
I recently had an important package get rerouted to a pickup box, but the incompetent driver (who did not even manage to reply “hello package” on the intercom) forgot to leave the retrieval card in my mailbox.
After searching the DHL website for a contwct option for way longer than it should take, I saw a small note stating that their chatbot can give you retrieval codes, so I decided to try that.
It was not AI powered, but provided prompts to click, or asked for very specific short replies like the tracking number. Similar to an automated phone system but with text. I took a wrong turn at some point and had to start over, but it actually worked really well and I got the code after about 3 minutes.
Bought a cheap 5€ safety razor some years back and liked it. I kept cutting my face, but I thought I’m just too stupid to shave.
Bought a 20€ razor later on. Turns out I’m not stupid, the 5€ one was just bad.
The power draw of old refrigerators is like 5-10 times higher than a modern one.
And thousands of refrigerators bought in the 1940s have been in landfills since the 1950s.
Weirdly enough, that’s a uniquely US problem.
I want an animated show of the Stormlight Archives. Something in the style of the Netflix Castlevania series or similar. I don’t think a live action show could do it justice without an insane budget.
