PowerDeleteSuite does not need API access. It runs in your browser. I used it to scrub what was left after Redact stopped working.
To be honest, very worried. I used Fedora as my main for about a decade but these days, I just don’t care for it anymore, and every piece of news that comes out about IBM and Red Hat makes me even more worried about the future. Sure, it’s ostensibly community-driven, but Red Hat has historically been very involved with it.
Hopefully I’m wrong, and I’m sure someone will tell me I’m wrong, but Arch and Debian seem to have the best chances at a good future these days.
No, I’ve replaced Reddit with Lemmy.
I completely understand where you’re coming from with web apps. Wefwef is very impressive, but it is not as smooth as a native app would be.
So far I’m enjoying it! There have been a few hiccups, but things have been coming together, especially since Memmy and wefwef have taken over the void that Apollo left.
I’ve also got a Squabbles account, which is I guess where the people who got mad at Reddit but insist the Fediverse is too confusing ended up, but Lemmy seems to be advancing faster in features and app functionality. At this point, between Reddit and Twitter’s bullshit, I’m trying it all.
Do a search for !community@kbin.social or whatever instance the community is on. It should show up eventually.

Yes, unfortunately, this is fake.

Wow, can’t wait until my instance upgrades. Great work! I don’t think I will miss that alien site.
Yeah, I don’t think Reddit is going anywhere, but it won’t be as good as it used to be.
Not disputing what you’re saying, but one feature that was a game changer for me on Mastodon was figuring out that I can follow hashtags in addition to people.
But I do agree with everything you said!
It seems like the people who actually cared about Reddit and the community left for Lemmy (and others). It definitely shows.
Reddit will learn very quickly that there is nothing particularly special about it. It’s a forum. With the people who posted and moderated on there being chased away or even banned, there isn’t going to be much of value left on Reddit going forward.
Pick up the Pace!
