Unions oppose/opposed NATO, especially autoworkers.
Are you thinking NAFTA? I’m not sure unions have much of a position on NATO.
What makes it clear that Biden isn’t a great option? It really annoys me that such a progressive administration in a very divided government is somehow not measuring up to the ever changing goal posts. The only perfect candidate to vote for is yourself, everyone else is a compromise.
Gonna assume controlled burns in difficult terrain.
Just give me a magnet, a needle and an hd platter
I find the experience of the applicants to be hilarious lies.
The funniest part is that privileged people get pissy about being called by their title all the time, it does sometimes materialize in jokes, but that’s still punching up.
As a fun experiment I misgender bigots until they got mad about it. It doesn’t take long.
I’ve heard it as “No one is losing their job to AI, but they will lose their jobs to someone who is using AI.”
We know that now, but at the time there was less information about how the virus spread and, I believe more importantly than the short term dangers, the long term effects of infection.
Of course one could think that it is silly to go to the extra effort of sanitizing your take-out when cooking at home was an option, but I don’t know their situation enough to make that judgment.
Firstly, there are plenty of peoyeho believe that humans have made terrible mistakes when selectively breeding dogs. See the oft-reposted “dog breeds then be now” image. Which leads into the primary technical reason eugenics doesn’t work, the fallibility of human decision making combined with the lack of perfect information.
Some traits may seem undesirable, however biodiversity is very important for survivability, and we are already very non-diverse genetically. Consider sickle cell anemia, a blood disease caused by a genetic trait. However part of the trait that causes it also offers protection from malaria.
Second is the controversial aspect. Who gets to decide which traits are desirable? If left up to individuals we would be awash with poorly informed trends, but if some central authority were given control, it could never be apolitical and would certainly devolve from any scientific basis into ideology.
I hate that people will look back on this behavior with derision, rather than taking sensible precautions during a time of uncertainty.
This is the reason I will now always fly with masks. Just to keep myself from touching my face and getting sick at the start of a vacation.
I call it being bookish, pronounced “bawkish”
I am personally wondering how they will pull it off. My guess is that the story/plot/pacing will be based on the book, but I’m sure they’ll add in more characters and drama. Probably heavily rearrange the order too.
My guess,
Oh yeah, thank you
I believe partly because it takes over so many responsibilities that it becomes a requirement for things that don’t need to require it. Plus it diverged from the Linux principle of do only one thing.
Also, afair, it was buggy for a while.
Pretty sure that with a permissive license you can just change the license of future versions as you want. Ex. v1 MIT license with thousanda.of contributors, v2 Commercial license with contributions from anyone who agrees to contribute to the new version and license. (Anyone can fork v1 and start their own licensed project)
