I’m done living for other people’s needs and desires. I’m really trying to interrogate my emotions and discover a way to live for myself.

Spending this year more or less alone. Parents live far away and unfortunately I don’t have anyone to watch my kitty (plus I’ve traveled a bunch recently). It’s been a very hard year for them and a tough fall for me, so it’s difficult not being there to share time together. At the same time, I’m trying not to become enveloped in sorrow and guilt and will be making lamb stew, Icelandic cookies and having some delicious spiced mead. Hope you all have a pleasant holiday o<|:)

I got off of social media five years ago and I still check my phone frequently. It’s something to do to distract from pernicious thoughts but ironically only diverts my attention away to other pernicious thoughts. I would say no, I’m not addicted though. I love every opportunity I get to leave my phone behind and don’t return to it with desperation. But because I don’t want to miss being contacted, these opportunities don’t arise often enough
