It works on other WiFi networks than my home.

Has this only started recently for you?
It works great but only with the wireless dongle. It works poorly with Bluetooth, and doesn’t work at all with direct USB connection. My original question was hoping to see if I could quickly resolve direct USB connection with the headphones since that seems like it may be the easier to get a great connection.
I’m also on ArchLinux!

1·6 months agoI have no recommendations for versions. Depends in your case.
Although I’ll mention that some people don’t like that Pixel by default doesn’t include the bottom menu on the screen, and uses other swiping features on the screen to do the same thing.
However in your system settings you can change the UI to gave the navigation menu at the bottom of the screen similar to Samsung.

27·6 months agoI got an extra 30% battery life after switching to GrapheneOS. I’m guessing whatever is saving my battery, would also bring down the load on the system.
I did notice my phone heats up much less after switching to GrapheneOS.

Arch Linux@lemmy.ml•ArchLinux doesn't boot after computer lost power during system update
1·6 months agoNo errors came up when I tried that.
My system was also freezing with message “Starting Flush Journal to Persistent”.
Adding the following to /etc/systemd/journald.conf made the error go away. Storage=persistent
Then the system was freezing with message “Create files and directories.” Doing the following made the message go away.
mv /tmp /old.tmp mkdir /tmp chmod 777 /tmp

But now I’m system freezes with message “Starting D-Bus System Message Bus”

Arch Linux@lemmy.ml•ArchLinux doesn't boot after computer lost power during system update
8·6 months agoThanks. I tried this, was able to get into my system. After playing around with WPA_supplicant and IP link, I was able to get internet and run the updates with pacman.
But I’m getting a similar problem as I was having at some point before, where I boot into a black screen, I can change the terminal with CTL + Alt + F1, then my login screen shows up, put my password, and the login freezes.
When I booted into my system earlier to do the updates, I used init=/bin/bash, but SystemD didn’t auto start then, hence why I used WPA_supplicant. Perhaps SystemD is still not starting, hence why I’m not able to log in or open other terminal window.
Are there guides or documentation for how to do this for me or future devs that are interested?

Privacy@lemmy.ml•End of 10 — Windows 10 is reaching the end of its support. Time to make the switch to Linux.
41·8 months agoLinux has gotten incredibly better for gaming. Now Bluetooth controllers connect just as easy as Windows, and Steam has Proton built in so that when you run a Windows only game, Steam will automatically install the appropriate Proton and Wine software – just make sure to turn on compatibility mode in the Steam launcher settings. Every game I ran so far runs fine on Linux.
It couldn’t be a better time to switch to Linux.
My posts and comments were being censored too. Nothing related to Musk nor politics. Good thing I switched over. This is my new home.

The following seems to have worked for me:
Forgetting the WiFi connection in my phone.
Going into my router’s admin page (e.g., 192.168.1.2) and “forgetting” all my unconnected devices.
Then reconnecting with my phone.
