Wow, da habe ich offenbar unter einem Stein gelebt: seit 2001 gibt es schon so ähnliche Chipless RFID tags.

Das Problem mit den Luftballons besteht laut Bahn darin, dass bei Kontakt oder auch schon in der Nähe der Oberleitung ein Kurzschluss in der 15.000 Volt starken Leitung entsteht. Dann wird erst mal der Bahnsteig geräumt, die Feuerwehr rückt an und der S-Bahn-Betrieb steht still.

Kann man das Verfahren wirklich nicht abkürzen? Bei einem vollen Bahnhof sollten sich doch wohl leicht ein paar Zeugen finden lassen, die die Frage klären können, ob das ein blöder Ballon oder ein S-Bahn-Surfer war. Und Kameras gibt's doch auch jede Menge?
