I’m at the low end of an intermediate user here and don’t see a direct way to get the .deb pkg.

jawa21@startrek.websiteOPto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•I need help getting EverQuest running reliablyEnglish3·1 year agoNo, I haven’t done that. I’ve only done the typical install tries. I’ll check that out now, thanks!
jawa21@startrek.websiteOPto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•I need help getting EverQuest running reliablyEnglish2·1 year agoYeah, I get that. I consider P99 to be a completely separate game, though. I need to run current live server raids.
jawa21@startrek.websiteOPto Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•I need help getting EverQuest running reliablyEnglish3·1 year agoHere’s the issue. I don’t play P99 and don’t want to. I play on live servers.

jawa21@startrek.websiteto Privacy Guides@lemmy.one•Why you shouldn't use a SIM card and use an hotspot as an alternativeEnglish9·1 year agoI did this for a while unwillingly because I was in a rough spot and couldn’t pay my phone bill. Even with the ease of getting to wifi in modern times (I would often just go to a restaurant that doesn’t turn off their wifi), it just isn’t worth it and is a massive inconvenience. Not to mention yh3 call quality was often terrible over slow public wifi once I had the VPN going.I am grateful that doing this is fee, however. It was certainly better than nothing.

jawa21@startrek.websiteto Announcements@lemmy.ml•Lemmy Developer AMA and Dev Update, 2024-01-26, 1500 CEDTEnglish15·1 year agoI post a fair amount of video edits. I’ve had quite a few people say that video playback is far from ideal for not just Lemmy, but the Fediverse as a whole. Is this mostly a 3rd party app thing, or a backend issue? I haven’t had much issue myself, but enough people have mentioned it that there is likely an issue somewhere down the line.
They were trying to run it cracked through an alternative launcher.
