It does both - that’s one of the key advantages it has over things like Meshtastic. It can run over LoRA, over TCP, and other forms, including l2P as well. The big reason to add it to your router, actually, is so it can help with traffic over TCP. If you really want to help, you can add a LoRA antenna via USB to your router, and now you can do LoRA <–> TCP.

It’s also encrypted by default at the packet level, unlike most of the solutions you’ve described.

Reticulum! Runs nicely on open-wrt, and makes a better internet for everyone.

Especially good in this time of political strife where we see internet access being used as a political weapon by state actors.

You’ll need to do a few manual steps to get the same effect - take a picture of yourself getting out of the shower, and send it to Cupertino.

ummmm smart switches and bulbs exist?

Well, the US is almost constantly at war. I didn’t realize you guys also included everyone you’re not currently bombing as enemies as well.

Though I guess the US use of Ukraine as a proxy is close enough . . .

So Russia is an enemy of the US, or is not?

NOW you’re talking!

The point is, why is Russia supposedly the enemy of the US again?

Seems the US has lots of enemies, and the liberals and conservatives just disagree on who they should be at constant war with, not if they should be at war.

Did the US declare war on Russia this week? I didn’t hear about that.

He wants Musk to turn it off for Ukraine.

Ukraine’s defense has been shown, at least in the past, to be crucially dependent on Starlink. So Putin is likely eager to make it as attractive as possible for Musk to turn that off.

Now, we can argue that having a single man-child idiot like Musk able to turn off things like this isn’t a good idea - but currently that is the case.

I mean, good luck, but what do you intend to do when Chuck Schumer says that it’s time to move on as a nation?

As a conservative, I must insist that we hold to time-honored traditions of how to deal with this.

Add his awful children as well, Romanov style.

Musk should be guillotined, but the US Constitution defines treason very spefically for a good reason. And this isn’t that.
